Giants, Padres, and Rockies, Oh My!

It's that time of year again....3 weeks left of baseball and the NL West is neck and neck. I love it. Well, let's not get confused, I would love if the Giants were up by 10 games or more, but I have to admit, this is exciting. Just a few short weeks ago the Giants were 5 games back from the Padres, and the Rockies weren't even remotely close. We all figured their season was done. However, with a run by the Giants, and taking 3 out of 4 against SD, the Giants are now tied for the NL West with the Fathers from down south. The Rockies have come out of nowhere and are only 2.5 games back. It's amazing this division is so close toward the end.

The Giants have a few tough games in front of them, playing the rivaled Dodgers this week, then heading out on a road trip for the next few series. However, they return home to finish up the season against Arizona, which should give us a nice winning streak heading into our final series against none other, but the San Diego Padres. We can only hope they are neck and neck going into the final series, because that will be some amazing baseball to watch. With a sweep by the Giants it will be nice to see them hit the post season this year.

So GO GIANTS! And this is what I love about baseball, a season that lasts 162 games over 7 months comes down to the last few weeks. Gotta love it.

Resident Evil

Is anybody else just a little excited for the new Resident Evil movie? I mean, they're not great movies, but I've enjoyed the first 3, and I'm kind of looking forward to the 4th. The first is definitely the best, in all aspects, but the others have been enjoyable. I'm a little worried about #4 though since one of their advertising statements is that "every shot was meant for 3D" which means there's going to be tons of stuff flying at the camera, which is dumb. I'm all for 3D movies, but don't make it intentionally coming out at you. It just seems like they're trying to hard, and I'm not a big fan of that. So I don't know if I'm going to see the movie in the theaters or not, but definitely when it's out on dvd.
